The Scoop is hosting free mini music festivals on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in July.

The Scoop is the sunken amphitheatre on the south side of the Thames Path next to City Hall and near to Tower Bridge. The free music festivals are a great fun way to pass some time whilst on the London South Bank while enjoying the great weather we are having at the moment!

The programme for the mini music festivals covers jazz, pop, funk, folk and up-and-coming bands

Cellar Door is a tiny, bizarre modern bar with a big personality; converted from an ex-men’s public toilet it is situated below the ground outside the Aldwych Hotel

The bar has a 30’s theme and offers table service from burlesque clad ladies sporting dark angel wings. Live jazz sets also play at 9:30 and 11pm Monday to Sunday.

Friday nights are tipped as the hottest night to go on as there’s live cabaret with free entry but there are also other great nights to go on that offer up free snuff. Drinks can be expensive but the great atmosphere of this bar and live entertainment make the prices worth it.

The toilets are an odd affair and need to be seen to be believed, they are unisex and the cubicle doors are made from polarised glass and can be seen through until locked.

Check out this little gem in the West End!
